Installing an Auxiliary Cooler When Replacing a Transmission Can Save You Thousands of Dollars in the Long Run

This week has been a lesson of reiteration of what improper cooling can do to an engine and to transmissions in your Isuzu, UD, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino or any other imported trucks. We've had several instances this week where the transmission cooling system has been partially stopped up, not causing immediate failure, but causing failure after about a month of improper cooling.

Prevent Injection Pump Problems That Result From Low Sulfur Diesel

We are seeing a tremendous amount of injection pump failure because of the low sulfur in the new diesel fuels. Also, the current diesel fuels are acid washed to clean them of sulfur and that leaves a residue of acid in the fuel that causes corrosion inside the fuel system itself.

Don't Trust the Jug - Prevent Engine Failure

Don't trust the jug, jug being the radiator reservoir jug.  I've seen this problem a lot.  Your car or truck seems to be running hot, but you have plenty of coolant in your radiator reservoir jug, so you think it's fine.  But it's not and your engine gets ruined.

This is especially serious on your Isuzu npr, Isuzu nqr, Isuzu ftr and frrs, the UD1200, UD1300, UD1400, UD1800, UD2600 trucks because they are much more expensive than cars.

Newly Installed Engines: Critical Care for the First Few Weeks

Whether you install the engine yourself in your Mitsubishi Fuso FE, FH, FK or UD 1200, 1300, 1400, 1800 or 2000 series, Isuzu NPR, NQR, GMC W3500, 4500, 5500, any other mid size truck or even regular passenger cars or whether you hire a mechanic or if the dealership installs an engine in a truck, the first couple weeks are critical in the life of that engine.

Change the Transmission Fluid in Imported Trucks to Extend the Life of your Engine.

A lot of people don't check their transmission fluid regularly or don't check it properly.  Transmission fluid does not have to be changed as often as the engine oil does.  Most manufacturers of imported trucks -- Isuzu, UD, Mitsubishi, GM W-Series -- recommend that for automatic transmissions, you change the transmission fluid in intervals around 25,000 miles.  Please refer to your manufacturer's specifications for the correct recommendation for your truck.

Proper Tire Care for Isuzu, Mitsubishi, UD, GMC Medium Duty Trucks: How To Make Your Tires last Longer

Tire inflation and tire wear is important.  The proper rotation and inflation of tires will extend the life of your tires.  Tires should be checked monthly for dry rot, for tears and for any kind of cuts in the sidewall.  It’s very important to keep your front tires aired up.  A blow-out can kill you.

Michelin Introduces Two New Tough Truck Tires

Michelin has introduced two new on/off-road truck tires, the XDY for added traction and wear and the XDY-EX2, an aggressive drive axle tire for extreme operating conditions like logging, oil fields and mining.  Both have maximum sidewall protection and aggressive tread design.
