Almost 20 years ago Doug Busbee started his business by doing body work with the slogan "We take the dents out of accidents."    During that time he used several frame straightening machines and in 1992 he purchased a BlackJack Frame Machine.

If you own a NPR, NQR or GM W3500, W4500 or W5500, a problem that you may experience is a popping or grinding in the rear axle which usually indicates a differential gear breakage that can be easily changed in about two hours.

Differential Gears, also called "Center Chunks," "Pumpkins," or "Hogheads" can come in a variety of gear ratios ranging from 3.54 to 6.1.

There are three types of automatic transmissions in the Japanese imported midrange trucks.  This includes Isuzu's NPR, NQR, NRR, FRR, and FTR as well as GM's W3500, W4500, W5500 and W6500 models, Chevrolet's W3, W4 and W5 trucks, Mitsubishi FUSO's FE, FG, FH, FK, and FM trucks, and UD's 1200, 1300, 1400, 1800, 2000, 2300, 2600 and 3300 trucks.

Isuzu Injection Pump 4HE1: Discerning between fine and coarse tooth gears

One of our most popular selling items is the Isuzu Injection Pump 4he1 and one of the most common problems customers have in ordering this product is knowing which pump they have -- fine tooth or coarse tooth.  The Isuzu 4he1 Injection Pump is found primarily on Isuzu NPR and NQR and in the GMC W series -- the GMC W3500 truck, the GMC W4500 truck and the GMC W5500 truck.  All of those trucks use the same Isuzu engine, but they use different ECMs (engine computers) and RPM sensors depending on whether the engine has the fine tooth gear or the coarse tooth

There have been a lot of questions about the new EPA 2010 heavy duty vehicle emissions standards.  As of January 1, 2010, engine NOx (the oxides of nitrogen produced in the cylinder of an engine during the high temperatures of combustion) emissions must be reduced by 85% over current levels, making diesel engines clean and green.  In other words, as of January 1, no heavy duty on-highway engine can emit oxide of nitrogen levels higher than 0.2 g/bhp-hr.  This is the strictest emissions standard in the world.  Ultimately this new standard will greatly improve our environm
